Manager – HLH LLP Chartered Professional Accountants
Take advantage of this opportunity to become part of our growing firm and join our dynamic, lean-thinking team! We are passionate about working with our clients, providing quality accounting services and having some fun while we do it! The ideal candidate will have a CPA designation and 1-3 years of post-designation work experience. This position will provide file preparation and review, client advisory and staff supervision opportunities including:
- Preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns in accordance with firm standards (Compilations, Reviews and Audits)
- Preparation and review of GST returns, personal tax returns, T4s & T5s
- Managing client relationships and identifying opportunities to expand services with clients
- Tax planning and general client advisory and assistance. Recommendations and consultation with clients on internal systems and procedures
- Mentorship and support to existing staff, regular contributions to improving firm policies and procedures
Qualifications
- CPA designation; 1-3 years of post-designation experience in public accounting
- Minimum 4 years public accounting experience; preferably working with owner-managed businesses
- Demonstrated ability to proactively manage client relationships with limited Partner involvement
- Experience with complex tax planning scenarios, corporate reorganizations, succession planning and company valuations
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; Demonstrated strong experience with CaseWare, TaxPrep, Sage and/or QuickBooks
- Demonstrated client service and communication skills
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills; organized and able to manage multiple deadlines

Senior Accountant – HLH LLP Chartered Professional Accountants

The ideal candidate will have a CA/CPA designation with at least 2 years of public practice experience. This position will provide file preparation, staff supervision and client advisory services including:
- Preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns in accordance with firm standards (NTRs, Reviews and Audits)
- Preparation and review of GST returns, personal tax returns, T4s & T5s
- Tax planning and general client advisory and assistance. Recommendations and consultation with clients on internal systems and procedures
- Mentorship and support to existing staff, regular contributions to improving firm policies and procedures
Qualifications
- CA/CPA designation; minimum of 2 years work experience in public practice
